Busan Museum’s collection is set to showcase Joseon
Tongsinsa documents registered with UNESCO’s Memory of the World from January 9
to May 7.
The Joseon Tongsinsa documents comprise materials related
to 12 diplomatic missions dispatched from Korea to Japan between 1607 and 1811
at the request of Japan’s Shogunate government.
The exhibition features 10 paintings and calligraphy
works depicting the history of peace building and cultural exchanges between
Korea and Japan from the 17th to the 19th century.
Joseon Tongsinsa documents were registered with UNESCO’s
Memory of the World in October 2017.
