Busan
City, Busan Cultural Foundation and Kiswire Ltd., have been jointly
transforming Kiswire’s former wire rope factory F1963 into a multicultural
complex as the city’s latest cultural regeneration project.
The
first pilot program of the project, “F1963 OPEN SQUARE” for local art
performers and the exhibition “Listening to Transparency” will be held from
September 1 to December 31.
Various free performance arts, including music and dance will be held at the F1963 open square from September 1 to October 29. 23 Busan-based performance teams will participate in the event “F1963 OPEN SQUARE”.

The
exhibition “Listening to Transparency” produced by Grame-National Center for Musical
Creation in Lyon, France will open from September 28 to December 31 at F1963
and Kiswire museum. Audio and visual art work by artists from France, Belgium,
Taiwan and Busan will be featured. The exhibition is free for all and hours are
. The opening ceremony will be held on September
28 at 7:00 p.m. It opens Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and
closes on Mondays and October 3-4.
Busan
City and KISWIRE signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Busan City to use the
art gallery and cultural space in F1963 for the next 20 years for free on
January 20, 2017. After remodeling the space, it plans to open it to the public
later this year.
