The 2017 Moonlight Cinema will be held from July 24 to September 30 at three locations along Sanbokdoro (mountainside road).
The moonlight cinema will take place at three locations – Cheonmasan Mountain Eco-house, Ibagu Camp in Dong-gu and Forty Stairs Street in Jung-gu. It is part of the city’s urban regeneration program, where visitors can enjoy the night view of Busan Port and the downtown area along Sanbokdoro while watching movies.
Busan City registered ‘Moonlight Cinema’ as a trademark and promotes it as part of the summer program of Busan, UNESCO City of Film.
The moonlight cinema is scheduled daily at Cheonmasan Mountain Eco-house, every Thursday and Sunday at Ibagu Camp in Dong-gu, and twice per month at Forty Stairs Street in Jung-gu. The show time is 8:00 p.m. with free admission.
The movies to be screened include short films from the Busan International Short Film Festival, independent films produced in Busan, films from the UNESCO Film Production Residency and full-length films under various themes.

Moonlight Cinema Venues
Cheonmasan Mountain Eco-house: 342, Cheonmasan-ro, Seo-gu, Busan
- How to get there: Get off at Toseong Station (Metro line 1) and go out Exit 6. Turn the corner to find the Pusan National University Hospital bus stop. Take the village/neighborhood bus No. 1-1 or 2 and get off at the Ami-dong public parking lot bus stop then walk about 500 meters.
Ibagu Camp: 30-8, Mangyang-ro 533beon-gil, Dong-gu, Busan
- How to get there: Get off at Busan Station (Metro line 1) and go out Exit 10. Take local bus no. 190 and get off at the Hwashin Apt. bus stop. Walk about 5 minutes.
Forty Stairs Street: 73, Jungang-daero, Jung-gu, Busan
- How to get there: Get off at Jungang Station (Metro line 1) and go out Exit 11.
