Classic Busan announced the ticket opening schedule for the Busan Concert Hall Opening Festival, which will be held from June 21 to 28.

Before the grand opening performance on June 21, a city-hosted opening ceremony will be held on June 20.

The Busan Concert Hall, the city’s first classical music-exclusive venue, will officially open on June 21 with the Asia Philharmonic Orchestra (APO) under the baton of Artistic Director Myung-Whun Chung, joined by internationally acclaimed musicians.

• ●The APO is a festival orchestra composed of leading Asian musicians from world-class symphony orchestras, including the Radio France Philharmonic, Berlin Staatskapelle, and London Philharmonic.

June 21:

• ●Opening concert featuring Beethoven’s Triple Concerto and Symphony No. 9 “Choral” conducted by Myung-Whun Chung.

• ●Soloists include violinist Sayaka Shoji, cellist Jian Wang, and Myung-Whun Chung himself on piano for the Triple Concerto, with soprano Hwang Soo-mi and other top Korean vocalists joining for the Choral symphony, supported by the 2025 Classic Busan Season Choir and Changwon City Choir.

June 22:

• ●Pianist Seong-Jin Cho will perform Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto with the APO, conducted by Myung-Whun Chung.

• ●Organist Jae-Hyuck Cho will showcase Saint-Saëns’ Symphony No. 3 “Organ” using the Busan Concert Hall’s grand pipe organ.

• ●Originally planned as solo recitals, Cho’s and Jae-Hyuck Cho’s programs were specially modified to collaborate with the APO under Chung’s direction.

June 23:

• ●Pianist Sunwoo Ye-kwon will perform chamber music with APO members, featuring works by Beethoven and Brahms.

June 25:

• ●Myung-Whun Chung returns to the stage as a pianist, presenting a refined program of classical chamber works.

June 27–28:

• ●The grand finale will be Beethoven’s only opera, Fidelio, performed in concert version with the APO, the Busan City Choir, and the National Chorus of Korea under Chung’s baton.

Tickets will be available as follows:

• ●May 7, 2:00 p.m.: Priority pre-sale for Classic Busan paid members via the official website (classicbusan.busan.go.kr).

• ●May 8, 4:00 p.m.: General ticket sales open via the official website and external ticketing sites (Interpark, Ticketlink, YES24).

• ●Special 10,000 KRW tickets will be offered for students (middle school, high school, university) in Busan and Gyeongnam.
