Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it is publicly recruiting candidates for the "2025 Busan Local Enterprises" designation, targeting companies that have been leading the regional industrial base.

Since the program's inception in 2006, a total of 65 companies have been designated and managed, contributing significantly to strengthening the region’s industrial foundation.

Through this program, Busan City aims to discover and nurture competitive companies rooted in the region that have achieved long-term stable growth, awarding them the title of "Busan Local Enterprise" to:

• ●Enhance brand value by boosting external credibility,

• ●Promote joint growth with affiliated businesses,

• ●Lay the groundwork for sustainable growth through public promotion,

• ●And ultimately revitalize the local economy.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all the following criteria:

• ●Headquartered in Busan,

• ●In continuous operation for at least 30 years,

• ●Employing at least 100 full-time workers (excluding temporary workers),

• ●Achieving an average annual revenue of at least KRW 20 billion over the past three years,

• ●And making significant contributions to the local economy.

This year, Busan City plans to expand the selection scale and ease the evaluation criteria to further invigorate local enterprises facing tough internal and external conditions.

Application Procedure

• ●Period: April 28 to May 19, 2025 (by 6:00 p.m.)

• ●Submission Method: By registered mail to
  Economic Policy Division, 17th Floor, Busan City Hall, 1001 Jungang-daero, Yeonje-gu, Busan.

Applications will undergo a thorough review process, including an evaluation by a committee of experts based on criteria such as business longevity, economic contribution, and social contribution. Final selections will be announced in September.
