The Busan Metropolitan City announced that it will hold the “YOLO Galmaet-gil Walking Festival” from April 26 to June 30, offering a range of walking programs to promote the beauty and charm of the Galmaet-gil Trails.

This festival is open to citizens, domestic and international tourists, walking enthusiasts, and mobility-challenged individuals. Under the theme “Walk and Enjoy YOLO Galmaet-gil”, the event integrates walking and tourism to highlight the unique appeal of Busan’s iconic coastal and urban walking trails.

Name: YOLO Galmaet-gil Walking Festival
Period: April 26 – June 30, 2025
Location: All 23 sections of Galmaet-gil Trail, including 9 YOLO Galmaet-gil courses (Total 278.8 km)
Participants: Open to everyone – local residents, international visitors, walking travelers, mobility-challenged individuals
Program Themes (4 types):

• ●Regular Galmaet-gil Walking: Full-course experience of the Galmaet-gil Trail

• ●YOLO Galmaet-gil Walking: Shortened, family-friendly course for easy participation

• ●Moonlight Galmaet-gil Walking: Night course offering a new view of the trail

• ●Inclusive Galmaet-gil Walking: Barrier-free course for mobility-impaired participants

Each program offers a distinct way to explore the trail and is designed to ensure a safe and convenient walking experience. Participants will be accompanied by certified trekking guides, trained specifically for the Galmaet-gil Trail.

Participation is free of charge, and advance registration is currently open on the Galmaet-gil official website (www.galmaetgil.kr) on a first-come, first-served basis.
