The Busan Museum of Art announced the launch of Loop Lab Busan, a groundbreaking digital media art festival held across 26 cultural institutions and public venues in the city, beginning April 24.

Inspired by Loop Barcelona, this Asian-first alternative platform explores the potential of time and image as mediums for digital art, emphasizing horizontal community networks.

At the center of the festival is the outdoor exhibition “Digital Subculture,” taking place at the museum’s sculpture garden and extended locations such as Gimhae Airport, running through June 29. The event kicks off with an opening ceremony featuring Mayor Park Heong-joon, participating artists, international gallery representatives, and art patrons, with over 500 attendees expected.
