Busan, Global Marine Leisure Tourism City, to Host the 2025 Busan Super Cup International Yacht Race

From April 24 to 27, The Busan Metropolitan City will host the 2025 Busan Super Cup International Yacht Race at Suyeong Bay Yacht Center. The event, now in its 20th edition, will feature 34 yachts from 10 countries and around 80 athletes in a dynamic competition on the sea.

The event is hosted by the city and organized by the Busan Yacht Association as part of efforts to promote Busan as a global marine leisure tourism destination and to popularize yacht culture among the general public.

Event Highlights

◈ On April 25, all participating teams will hold a celebratory parade and departure ceremony at 11:30 AM to commemorate the race's 20th anniversary.
◈ The race includes three days of inshore competitions from April 25 to 27.

Side Events for Citizens

Several side events will be held for public participation:

• ●Spectator yachts will operate so that citizens can view the races up close.

• ●A custom T-shirt-making booth will celebrate the 20th anniversary.

• ●As part of an environmental initiative, participants with reusable cups or tumblers will receive free drinks.

Spectator yacht participants will be selected via a comment-based drawing, where applicants must leave a cheering message under the event post.
