Mobile Medical Bus Operates at Banyeo Agricultural & Fishery Products Wholesale Market for Distribution Workers

The Banyeo Agricultural Wholesale Market Management Office of The Busan Metropolitan City announced that it will operate a "Mobile Medical Bus" from April 22 (Mon) to 24 (Wed) to provide health checkups and preventive care for distribution workers at the wholesale market.

This initiative is part of a consigned program by the city’s Health and Hygiene Division, operated by medical professionals from Haeundae Bumin Hospital, who will visit the site directly to conduct health screenings and offer consultations with specialists. 

The service will be available each day from 2 PM to 5 PM during the three-day period.

The Mobile Medical Bus is equipped with advanced medical equipment and staffed by professional healthcare personnel. It travels directly to medically underserved populations to deliver comprehensive medical services, including health assessments and consultations.

Workers such as wholesalers and auctioneers at wholesale markets often face irregular working hours and suffer from chronic fatigue and sleep deprivation, placing them at higher risk for health issues. The city launched this initiative to help these workers maintain good health and continue their economic activities safely and sustainably.

In addition, on the first day of operation, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training will be offered in collaboration with the Haeundae Public Health Center for participants who registered in advance.

Kim Eun-yong, Director of the Banyeo Agricultural & Fishery Products Wholesale Market Management Office, stated,

“We hope this service provides meaningful support to market workers, especially by enabling early detection of chronic diseases and offering expert consultations, particularly in response to the aging of the workforce.”
