Busan City Begins Additional Recruitment of Return Gift Suppliers for the 2025 Hometown Love Donation Program

The Busan Metropolitan City Government announced that it will begin additional recruitment of return gift suppliers for the 2025 Hometown Love Donation Program starting April 17 (Thu). The initiative aims to further invigorate the donation system by diversifying the return gifts offered to donors and matching their preferences.

This round of recruitment follows previous selections held in December 2024 and February 2025. Businesses eligible to apply must be based in Busan and capable of producing, manufacturing, or supplying return gifts.

Recruitment Areas Include:

• ●Agricultural, livestock, fishery, and forestry products

• ●Processed foods and manufactured goods

• ●Traditional crafts

• ●Tourism services (admission tickets, experience programs, etc.)

Applicants will be selected based on screening by the Return Gift Selection Committee, which evaluates proposals according to category-specific criteria. Selected companies will be authorized to provide return gifts starting May 1, 2025.

Currently, 103 products from 29 suppliers are offered, including:

• ●Daejeo saltwater tomatoes

• ●Accommodation vouchers for Haeundae’s 5-star hotels

• ●Buffet dining vouchers

• ●Local specialty items like eomuk (fish cakes), mackerel, beef, pork, red ginseng, seafood stew, pollack roe, and specialty coffee

• ●Busan local currency “Dongbaekjeon” gift cards

• ●Tourism service tickets

About the Hometown Love Donation Program:
The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 10 million KRW annually to local governments outside their place of residence. Donations are used to support welfare, culture, and local revitalization initiatives. Donors receive:

• ●Tax benefits (up to 100,000 KRW fully deductible)

• ●Return gifts of their choice, up to 30% of the donation amount
