Busan City to Offer Free Operation of “Duribal” Special Transportation on April 20 to Commemorate the 45th National Day of Persons with Disabilities

To mark the 45th National Day of Persons with Disabilities, Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon), in cooperation with the Busan Facilities Corporation, announced that it will offer free operation of the special transportation service “Duribal” for individuals with disabilities on April 20.

The free service will be available for 24 hours, from 00:00 to 24:00 on April 20, based on boarding time, and is limited to individuals registered with Duribal under the Busan Facilities Corporation.

Please note that intercity operations and disability voucher taxis are excluded from this free service.

Eligible users can book a free ride by calling the Duribal Call Center (☎1555-1114) or via the Duribal mobile application.

In addition, Busan City will dispatch 20 Duribal vehicles and accompanying welfare support staff (drivers and managers) to assist attendees at the official commemorative ceremony for the National Day of Persons with Disabilities, which will take place on April 18 at the Gangseo Sports Park Indoor Gymnasium.

Hwang Hyun-chul, Director General of the Busan Transportation Innovation Bureau, stated:
“This free Duribal operation for the 45th National Day of Persons with Disabilities reflects our commitment to ensuring transportation rights for all citizens and creating an inclusive transportation environment.
We will continue our efforts to make Busan a city where everyone can move freely without discrimination.”

Since 2020, Busan City has successfully operated 222 Duribal vehicles with support from the Lottery Fund, earning recognition for outstanding performance. The City continues to expand its services through effective project management and additional funding efforts.
