Busan Human Resource Development Center and Catholic University of Pusan Sign MOU to Enhance Retirement Preparation Education for Busan City Officials

The Busan Human Resource Development Center and the Catholic University of Pusan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on April 10 at 11:00 AM to promote the advancement of retirement preparation education for Busan Metropolitan City officials.

This MOU aims to support a structured approach to post-retirement life for public servants. Key components of the agreement include joint research and improvement of retirement preparation programs, sharing of instructors and educational resources, and collaboration on facilities and content.

Notably, the agreement includes plans to utilize the HAHA Campus (Happy Aging, Healthy Aging) at the Catholic University of Pusan, the first large-scale senior complex facility established at a university level in Korea. This facility will provide retired public officials with opportunities for leisure, culture, and lifelong learning.

Through this partnership, the two institutions will offer themed retirement preparation education programs—such as financial literacy, leisure, interpersonal relationships, and emotional wellness—linked to HAHA Edu-Programs, along with support for physical health and local community engagement.

Future initiatives will also include joint research and development to further improve and expand retirement support education.

Kim Eun-hee, Director of the Busan Human Resource Development Center, stated,

“This agreement will strengthen the professionalism of retirement support education for public officials and serve as a sustainable model of cooperation with the local community. We expect it will not only enhance the quality of life for retired officials but also have a positive impact on our society as a whole.”
