Busan Library Launches Recommended Book Notification Service "Weekly Book Talk"

Busan Library announced the launch of "Weekly Book Talk," a recommended book notification service, delivering summarized book recommendations to citizens every Monday morning.

"Weekly Book Talk" sends book summaries via Kakao notification messages at 8:30 AM every Monday,

allowing citizens to start their week with reading suggestions conveniently.

Participants can choose their preferred areas of interest from 12 available categories,

including ▲finance, ▲humanities, ▲history, ▲philosophy, ▲parenting, ▲education, ▲health, and ▲Busan-related books.

Each subscriber can receive summaries of up to 6 recommended books per week.

The service aims to encourage habitual reading among citizens by providing regular exposure to various genres of books through concise summaries,

thus reducing the perceived burden of reading.

Any member of the city's "Chaekeum" library network can sign up for the service via the Busan Library website (library.busan.go.kr) or the KakaoTalk channel named "Weekly Book Talk."

The service will be available to 8,000 subscribers until December 22, 2025.

In addition to the weekly recommended books, more book summaries are available through "Bookzip" on the Busan Library website (Bookzip page).
