BUSAN METROPOLITAN CITY ENFORCEMENT RULES OF THE ORDINANCE ON FOSTERING HUB AIRLINES

  • ●Article 1 (Purpose)

  • ●The purpose of these Rules is to prescribe matters necessary for the enforcement of the Busan Metropolitan City Ordinance on Fostering Hub Airlines.

  • ●Article 2 (Scale of support)

  • ●(1) The scale of support for the projects under subparagraphs 1 and 2 of Article 4 of the Busan Metropolitan City Ordinance on Fostering Hub Airlines (hereinafter referred to as the “Ordinance”), under Article 5 (1) of the Ordinance, shall be determined by the Busan Metropolitan City Committee on Fostering of Hub Airlines under Article 9 of the Ordinance, taking into consideration the calculation method of a fixed amount per flight set forth in the Appendix.

  • ●(2) The calculation method of a fixed amount per flight under paragraph (1) shall be as specified in the Appendix.

  • ●Article 3 (Period of support)

  • ●The period of support for the projects under subparagraphs 1 and 2 of Article 4 of the Ordinance, under Article 5 (1) of the Ordinance, shall be up to 1 year from the date on which the designated route, as determined by the Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City (hereinafter referred to as the “Mayor”), begins operation.

  • ●Article 4 (Submission of business plan)

  • ●(1) A hub airline shall, within 2 months from the date on which it is notified of the selection result under Article 16 of the Ordinance, submit a detailed flight plan to the Mayor for the purpose of applying for subsidy.

  • ●(2) A hub airline that has submitted a detailed flight plan under paragraph (1) and intends to apply for subsidies shall submit an application for subsidy support in the Form 1 or Form 2.

  • ●Article 5 (Supplementation of subsidy application)

  • ●(1) Where the contents of the application for a subsidy or the supporting documents are unclear or incomplete, the Mayor shall require the hub airline to supplement them within a period not exceeding 1 month.

  • ●(2) If the hub airline fails to supplement the application for a subsidy or the supporting documents within the supplementation period prescribed in paragraph (1), the Mayor may reject the application.

  • ●These Rules shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation.
