Busan Metropolitan City Ordinance on Close Examination on Exhausting Gas of Vehicles
Ordinance No. 4006, May. 4, 2005
- Article 1 (Purpose)
- The purpose of this Ordinance is to enhance citizens’ quality of life through the improvement of the air atmosphere by prescribing such matters as the enforcement of the close examination on exhausting gas of vehicles (hereinafter referred to as the “Close Examination”) pursuant to Article 37-3 of the Clean Air Conservation Act (hereinafter referred to as the “Act”).
- Article 2(Close Examination)
- All owners of registered vehicles (registered pursuant to Article 5 of Automobile Management Act and Article 3 of the Construction Machinery Management Act) within Busan Metropolitan City(limited to areas publicly noticed as the Air Atmosphere Restriction Area following procedures prescribed in Article 14, Paragraph 2 of the Enforcement Rule of the Clean Air Conservation Act) shall take the Close Examination executed by the Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City pursuant to Article 37-3, Paragraph 1 of the Act.
- Article 3(Delegation of Authority)
- The Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City shall entrust the following authorities to the heads of Boroughs(Gu).
- 1. Extension of the expiration date of the validity for Close Examination, postponement of Close Examination, and order for Close Examination pursuant to Article 37-3, Paragraph 2 and 3 of the Act.
- 2. Imposition and collection of fine for negligence pursuant to Article 59, Paragraph 2, Subparagraph 8-3 of the Act.
