Busan Metropolitan City Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the Busan Medical Center
- Article 1 (Purpose)
- The purpose of this Ordinance is to prescribe the matters necessary to establish and operate the Busan Metropolitan City Medical Center under Article 4 of the Act on the Establishment and Operation of Local Medical Center (hereinafter referred to as "the Act").
- Article 2 (Name)
- The name of local medical center which is established by Busan Metropolitan City (hereinafter referred to as "the City") is the Busan Metropolitan City Medical Center (hereinafter referred to as "the Medical Center").
- Article 3 (Officers)(1) The Medical Center shall have one president, six to ten directors, and one auditor.
- (2) Directors shall be classified into full-time directors and part-time directors, and the number of full-time directors shall be less than 3.
- (3) An auditor shall be non-standing.
- Article 4 (Profit-making Business)
- The Medical Center may run a profit-making business in order to improve its management, and etc.
- Article 5 (Burden of Expenses)(1) Difference between the average price and the actual price for medical treatment shall be burdened by the City as rendered, for any public purpose, gratuitously or at prices below the actual price.
- (2) The Medical Center shall consult with the Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City (hereinafter referred to as "the Mayor") on burden of expenses referred to in paragraph ①
- Article 6 (Gratuitous Usage of Property)
- The Mayor may use the property of the Medical Center gratuitously when necessary without compensation.
- Article 7 (Imposition and Collection of Fine for Negligence)(1) The Mayor shall impose and collect a fine for negligence on any person who falls under any of the following subparagraphs under the provisions of Article 29 ② of the Act:

- 1. Any person who use the similar name in violation of Article 5 ② of the Act: 1 million won and
- 2. Any person who refuse, obstruct or evade the investigation of public officials belonging to the City pursuant to the provisions of Article 23 ② without justifiable reason: 2million won.
- (2) ① shall be imposed and collected by referring to the practices of imposition and collection of local taxes.
