BUSAN METROPOLITAN CITY ORDINANCE ON THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF BUSAN IT INDUSTRY PROMOTION AGENCY
- Article 1 (Purpose)
- The purpose of this Ordinance is to prescribe matters necessary for establishment and management of Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency to promote the information industry.
- Article 2 (Establishment)
- The Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency(hereinafter referred to as the "Agency") shall be a incorporated foundation.
- Article 3 (Main Functions)

The Agency shall perform the works falling under each of the following subparagraphs:
- 1. The work of developing the basic planning for the Agency;
- 2. The work of building an infrastructure for the information industry such as the installation of support facilities to vitalize the industry;
- 3. The work of operating the support facilities for IT and software industry; and
- 4. Other work necessary to attain the objective of establishing the Agency.
- Article 4 (Financial Contribution)
- The Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City(hereinafter referred to as the "Mayor") may contribute or subsidize necessary funds, etc. to any person who intends to install the promotion facilities and build a promotion complex, or to public organizations, etc. under Article 9 of the Software Industry Promotion Act.
- Article 5 (Entrustment)
- The Mayor may entrust the Agency with operation of facilities, projects, etc. necessary for the promotion of software industry.
- Article 6 (Submission of Business Plan, etc)
- The Agency must formulate the business plan and the budget for the following year not later than two months before the following fiscal year, and submit them to the Mayor. The Agency must submit business achievements and balance sheets to the Mayor within two months from the date of the completion of each fiscal year.
- Article 7 (Change in Articles of Incorporation)
- The Agency must consult with the Mayor before the Agency intends to change the articles of incorporation under Article 45 and 46 of the Civil Act.
- Article 8 (Report and Inspection) (1) The Mayor may require the Agency to make necessary reports, or have the public officials under his control inspect the financial statements and relevant documents.
- (2) When the report or inspection under paragraph (1) reveals illegal or inappropriate activities, the Mayor may issue an order to correct them or take necessary measures.
