Oryukdo Skywalk, a place where visitors can enjoy one of the best views of Oryukdo Island in the city, has been completed.
Situated on the side of a 30-meter cliff, the skywalk’s glass floor viewing platform offers visitors a breathtaking view of Oryukdo Island. It can be found at Oryukdo Seungdumal, which is located on the southernmost point of Igidae Park’s coastal walking path. The glass-floor U-shaped structure extends about 9 meters from the island, with tall reinforced glass on both sides for the safety of pedestrians.
In 2011, Nam-gu District hosted a design competition for the construction of the project with the winning bid receiving a budget of 1.4 billion won. Completed and opened to the public on October 18, 2013, visitors can enjoy the exhilarating sense of walking above the sea from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
In addition, the district also plans to open an Oryukdo Information Center on the first floor of the Haeparang-gil Tourist Information Center. The center aims to educate visitors on the history of Oryukdo as well as its surrounding ecological environment.
How to get there: Take a local bus No. 27, 131 and get off at the last stop at the back gate of Oryukdo SK View Apartment.
