To protect nonsmokers from the hazards of second-hand smoke and to create a smoke-free healthy city, Busan City has designated most enclosed public places as No Smoking areas. The smoking ban will be effective from December 1, 2011.

 

No Smoking Areas: All city beaches, bus stops and parks (including amusement parks)

Beaches: Songdo, Haeundae, Songjeong, Dadaepo, Gwangalli, Ilgwang, Imnang

Bus stops: all bus stops in Busan and anywhere within a 10-meter radius of non-smoking areas

Parks: Children’s Grand Park, Geumgang Park, Taejongdae

Designated Date: December 1, 2011

Fine: 20,000 won
