The
City of Busan and the Busan Tourism Organization opened the Hwangnyeong
Mountain View Lounge on Hwangnyeong Mountain on August 8, 2015.
The
Hwangnyeong Mountain View Lounge is located in front of the KBS Hwangnyeongsan
Mountain transmitting station, right under Bongsudae (Hwangnyeongsan Beacon
Fire Station). The facility was built on a 276 square meter area and visitors are
able to have coffee, beverages and casual meals while enjoying gorgeous views
of the city.
The
city established a plan to build the Hwangnyeong Mountain View Lounge in 2013,
broke ground in August 2014, and completed the facility in May 2015. It is
managed and operated by the Busan Tourism Organization.
Hwangnyeong
Mountain is a popular site for climbing, hiking and driving, and boasts spectacular
city views as well as beautiful natural scenery. The mountain covers a wide
range of the city including the Nam-gu, Suyeong-gu, Yeonje-gu and Buanjin-gu
Districts. Visitors are able to see almost the entire city from atop the
mountain.
To
promote the Hwangnyeong Mountain View Lounge to the public and provide
convenience to visitors, the Busan Tourism Organization operates a Busan City
Tour bus via the Hwangnyeong Mountain View Lounge.
In addition, the city plans to install additional observation decks to view Busan Port, Busanjin-gu, Geumjeong-gu and Yeonje-gu on Hwangnyeongsan Mountain.
