International Student Registration Now Available at Study Busan Hub

□ Beginning March 20, 2026, in cooperation with the Busan Immigration Office, fingerprint registration for international students is underway at the Study Busan Hub on the second floor of the National Pension Service Busan Office in Yeonje-gu.

○ The Study Busan Hub opened on February 10, initially implementing advisory sessions, and launching Korean language classes in March.

《About Study Busan Hub》

◦ Address: 2F, National Pension Service Building, 1000 Jungang-daero, Yeonje-gu (Yeonsan-dong)

◦ Amenities: 6 consultation stations, a lounge, 2 classrooms, 3 offices (380 square meters)

◦ Operators: Silla University (coordinator), Dong-Eui Institute of Technology and Busan Global City Foundation (consortium)

◦ Partners: Busan RISE Integrated Platform and 20 colleges

◦ Main Roles: All-in-one guidance (living, healthcare, finance, etc.), educational and cultural programs, employment and startup aid

□ This is the first time the Busan Immigration Office has collaborated with a municipality to provide fingerprinting services for foreign registration at an off-campus location.

○ Students no longer need to appear at the immigration office in Jung-gu. Those from more distant institutions—such as Pusan National University, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, and Busan Women’s College—can complete the process quickly and easily.

○ The Busan Immigration Office has also inaugurated mobile immigration units. On March 26, on-site fingerprint registration was conducted at Dong-Eui University, serving approximately 200 attendees.

□ Along with this, the Study Busan Hub will deliver banking consulting, wellness education, and Korean culture mentoring.

○ Busan Metropolitan City has positioned the Study Busan Hub as a resource center connecting schools and affiliated entities, and will hold large-scale job fairs and events to help international students settle into a new environment and smoothly move from studying abroad to residency through career opportunities.

□ Mayor Park Heong-joon stated, “We understand that students often face difficulties with foreign registration and visa-related matters. We, therefore, pledge to extend practical assistance together with the Busan Immigration Office.”
