The Geumnyeonsan Youth Training Institute is set to host public observatory sessions where participants can take in the celestial sky. The observatory is open on the second and fourth Saturdays every month from February through November, 7:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
※ The schedule is subject to change in light of internal programming or the city’s fireworks festival. Admission is free, except for the planetarium.
Annual Schedule
February 7, 21; March 14, 28; April 11, 25; May 9, 23; June 13, 27; July 11, 25; August 8, 22; September 5, 19; October 10, 24; November 14, 28
Regular Saturday events are usually held on the 2nd and 4th weeks of each month. However, in February and September, the schedule is adjusted to the 1st and 3rd Saturdays due to holidays.
In October, dates may vary depending on the Geumnyeonsan Festival, with prior notice on the institute’s website.

Most programs, including astronomy discoveries, can be joined at no cost anytime between 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. No reservation is needed.
The 53-seat planetarium, featuring a 9-meter dome screen and a state-of-the-art digital projection system, presents educational and entertaining shows about the wonders of the universe throughout the year. The ticket price is 2,000 won for children and youth, and 3,000 won for adults.
In addition to the moon, stars, and planets, Busan’s stunning nightscape is also part of the exploration.

Parking: Paid
Because successful viewings require favorable weather conditions, the observatory will close on cloudy or rainy evenings. The indoor planetarium operates without interruption.
