Come to Metasequoia Terrace, a Healing Spot at the Busan Museum

□ The Busan Museum invites citizens to unwind and recharge at its outdoor terrace, open through November 2025.

□ Facing a grove of metasequoia trees on the museum’s northern side, the Metasequoia Terrace offers a serene, seasonally rich environment that is ideal for quiet reflection and creative inspiration.

○ Visitors can engage in a variety of self-guided activities that promote mindfulness and relaxation, such as reading, transcribing, and coloring.

○ Transcription kits for hand-copying meaningful book excerpts and coloring kits with illustrated pages can be borrowed from an unmanned kiosk. The coloring templates are updated monthly.

□ Participants who complete an activity and return their kit will receive a stamp in their museum attendance book. Those who collect all the stamps will be eligible for a museum gift.

○ Double stamps will be awarded during Museum & Gallery Weeks (May 2-31).

□ After a one-week pilot that began on April 18, the Metasequoia Terrace officially launched in May, coinciding with the stamp event. A maximum of five groups may participate at once on a first-come, first-served basis by registering at the unmanned kiosk in the first-floor lobby of the Dongnae Exhibition Hall. Participation is free, with each session limited to two hours between 10:00 and 17:00.

○ For details, refer to the museum’s website (museum.busan.go.kr/busan) or contact the Education & PR Division at 051-610-7185.
