Busan Provides Free Comprehensive Health Checkup to Multicultural Families

The City of Busan has announced that it provide free comprehensive health checkups for low-income multicultural families to help improve their health and provide medical welfare support.


The city-backed program will give low-income multicultural families that are excluded from public medical welfare the chance to receive comprehensive health checkups for free.

Busan has been providing health checkups to 100 multicultural families every year since signing an agreement with the Busan Center of the Korean Medical Institute in 2015.


The city plans to provide 107 people from multicultural families in vulnerable social groups, that have been recommended by Gu and Gun district offices, health checkups at the Busan Center of the Korean Medical Institute. The free comprehensive health checkup includes gastroscopy, abdominal ultrasonography, liver function examination and lung X-ray.
