OSIRIA Tourism Complex Records 8.3 Million Annual Visitors

Approximately 8.3 million people visited the OSIRIA Tourism Complex in 2018.

Three facilities, including the Busan National Science Museum, East Busan Lotte Mall and Hilton Busan/Ananti Cove have opened in the OSIRIA Tourism Complex. In addition, other main facilities, including a theme park, IKEA and more are under construction.

The Busan National Science Museum, established in 2015, aims to promote science to the public.

The museum, a four-story building with one level underground, was built on 110,000 square meters of land and offers a variety of programs - activities, exhibitions and science-related education. The number of visitors to the museum amounted to approximately 100,000, and recorded 3 million accumulated visitors in 2018. It is highly valued by the Ministry of Science and ICT industry.


The East Busan Lotte Mall is the largest shopping complex in Korea, featuring a premium outlet, a shopping mall, Lotte Mart and Lotte Cinema. The five story building was built on 120,000 square meters of land and opened in 2014. Over 6.1 million people visited last year with the number of visitors steadily growing since its opening. The premium outlets’ sales topped all Lotte outlets in Korea.

Ananti Cove, a premium oceanfront resort complex, built on a 75,000 square-meter site in Gijang-gun, consists of the Hilton Busan, Ananti Water House, membership condominiums, restaurants, a bookstore and other leisure and shopping facilities. It has attracted an estimated 1.2 million tourists annually.


The city expects the OSIRIA tourism complex to be Busan’s representative tourist attraction with over 10 million annual visitors expected to visit when its development is fully completed.
