The Busan Metropolitan Government and CBS, a broadcasting company, will work together to hold the Busan Brand Festa in an effort to support struggling local businesses and boost the local economy. The event, which will take place in Hall 3A of BEXCO’s Exhibition Center 1 from August 9 to 11 this year, will be a great opportunity for Busan residents to check out and buy great gifts before the Korean Thanksgiving holiday.
Busan Brand Festa will feature business meetings and opportunities, including potential deals with large distributor chains and collective purchase arrangements, and also encourage direct communication and transactions between consumers at large and businesses. It is expected to establish a new model of virtuous-cycle business, in which citizens, businesses, and local communities all work together.
The event is also significant in that it is supported by public institutions, associations, and cooperatives in Busan that all share the goal of revitalizing Busan’s economy. Featuring 150 booths of 120 companies, the event will offer proven products produced by both leading Busan-based companies and small local businesses.
Side events will include collective purchase briefings for district and county offices, public organizations, infomercial channels, and department stores as well as business meetings and job-matching consultations. “Lucky Boxes,” filled with the most popular products of leading companies, will also be distributed through a special event, giving consumers a valuable opportunity to test and experience the products.
