Route 7-1 starts with a forest trail of cedars and cypresses in Seongjigok Reservoir. At the fork in Baegyangsan Mountain, trekkers pass by a wetland in Soemisan Mountain, known as the Korean Brown Frog Protection Area, and can follow up to the ridge alongside to a transmission tower towards Mandeokgogae Hill. When trekkers look back at the route up to Geumgang Park, they can see the meandering Oncheoncheon Stream and the beautiful city scenery of Dongnae-gu. Although the route toward the 2nd Watchtower for Geumjeongsanseong Fortress is so steep that trekkers breathe with gasps, they can see a nice city view of the whole Busan after passing by the South Gate and the East Gate on the ridge with Buchaebawi Rock, the 4th watchtower, Wonhyobong Peak and the North Gate.
