Dreams and hopes grew in unison
In 1995, the Busan Citizens' Committee to Reclaim the Hialeah Site was established, later evolving into the Headquarters of the Pan-Civic Movement to Promote the Hialeah Site Citizens Park in 2004, to advocate for the site’s free transfer. Through the combined efforts of Busan city officials and citizens from all walks of life, the land was finally reclaimed in 2010 after 100 years, paving the way for the creation of the park.
