Story of the Hialeah Unit Village
To the south of Camp Hialeah lay a natural village known as Beomjeon-dong Bon-dong.
Originally a farming community, the arrival of the U.S. military transformed it into a thriving commercial hub. The area flourished until the late 1980s, featuring street vendors serving military personnel, room rentals, souvenir shops, bars, and tailor shops. Now incorporated into the park, the village has faded into history.
