President’s Office
Wooden-floor Room (Reminiscence Room)
The second floor comprises the Presient’s Office and the Wooden-floor Room (Reminiscence Room). The President’s Office replaced the previous exhibition hall with a panel dedicated to the “Provisional Capital Memorial Hall of the Presidential Residence during the Korean War. The Reminiscence Room presents video screenings about Provisional Capital Busan.
President’s Office
The President’s Office on the 2nd floor served as the place where President Rhee carried out his official duties, while Mrs. Francesca oversaw the daily operations of the residence. In 2008, an exhibition hall was established here to display President Rhee’s memorabilia and related materials from the period. However, the exhibition hall has since been removed, allowing visitors to see the room restored to its original state.
Reminiscence Room
This wooden-floor room was originally used by guests visiting the Presidential Residence. It has since been transformed into a Reminiscence Room featuring videos about the provisional capital.
