App makes foreigners Emergency Ready

Since December, foreign residents have had the ability to rapidly and conveniently receive disaster massages in English by installing the Emergency Ready app on their mobile phone. The Ministry of Public Safety and Security officially started the English emergency disaster message service in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization, which provides 24-hour translation services to foreign tourists.
This application provides users with 23 types of disaster-related information, including the location of emergency medical facilities, embassies, police and fire stations and measures on how to respond.
