In what will be the largest international conference held in Korea since the president's inauguration, the 2019 ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit will be held in Busan on November 25 and 26.
The historic summit between South Korea and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations will mark the 30th anniversary of establishing dialogue relations between the two entities. This will be the third such summit in Korea, following Jeju in 2009 and Busan in 2014. The national leaders that will participate in the summit are as follows: President Moon Jae-in of South Korea, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc of Vietnam, PresidentRodrigoDuterteofthePhilippines,Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, President Joko Widodo of Indonesia, Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad of Malaysia, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore, Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha of Thailand, Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith of Laos and State Counsellor Aung San Suukyi of Myanmar.
