1. Admission and Opening Hours

Opening Hours: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • The last entrance to the Museum is at 5:00 pm.
  • Closed January 1 and every Monday or the following Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday
Free admission
Caution
  • Touching or other acts that may damage exhibits is strictly prohibited
  • Flash photography, using a tripod or photography for commercial purposes is prohibited
    ※ Taking food into the museum is prohibited.

2. Donate Your Collections

Item You Can Donate
  • Items related to marine life: Fish, shellfish, crustaceans, mollusks, sea water life, reptiles, echinoderm, fossils
  • Items related to marine products: Fishing gear, rare photographs related to fisheries
  • Others: Books and exhibition items
How to Donate
  • Items should be in the original state when donating.
    in case of fish, be careful not to damage parts such as the fins and scales.
  • Specify the details of donations ; for example, name, places collected, collectors and so on.

Management of Donations
  • Donations will be kept and displayed in the BMNHM.

    • Tropical living reptiles such as crocodiles, lizards, and turtles are exhibited
Busan Fishing Village Folk Museum

The Busan Fishing Village Folk Museum opened as a branch of the Busan Marine Natural History Museum on February 23, 2007. It consists of the Nakdonggang River Fishing Village Folk Hall and the Busan Fishing Village Folk Hall under the theme “A cultural tour of fishing villages from river to sea.” The museum presents exhibitions and materials on the lives of our ancestors along the Nakdonggang River, which is the lifeline of Busan. Visitors can also learn about activities, traditional methods, cultural relics, and the people of Busan’s fishing villages.
