Article 1 (Purpose)
The ordinance aims at stipulating the requirements to host the 2030 Busan World Expo, and hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo successfully by fully supporting the activities by the private sector. <Revision July 10, 2019>

Article 2 (Definition)
The “2030 Busan World Expo” (hereafter called “Expo”) in the oridnance means the registered exposition to be held, pursuant to the International Exposition Treaty, in 2030 within the juriscition of Busan Metropolitan City.

Article 3 (Duties)
Busan Metropolitan City shall develop and iimplement the policies to entice the participation of all sectors of the community and host the Expo.

Article 4 (Planning and Execution of Hosting Plan)
① The mayor of Busan Metropolitan City (hereafter called ‘Mayor“) shall plan and execute the plan to host the Expo (hereafter called “Host Plan”).
② The Host Plan shall include the matters of the following subparagraphs.
- 1. Goal and Direction to host the Expo
- 2. Policy development to host the Expo
- 3. Support and publicity to host the Expo
- 4. Financing to host the Expo
- 5. Other requirements needed to host the Expo

Article 6 (Administrative and Financial Support)
① The Mayor may support the corporation or organization, which pushes for the project to host the Expo pursuant to Article 5, for the expnse, in entirety or in part, within the budget.
② The method and procedure for the expense support pursuant to Paragraph shall follow the Busan Metropolitan City Local Subsidy Management Ordinance.
③ The Mayor may dispatch internal public officials, pursuant to the Local Public Officials Act, to engage in the works efficiently for the promotion of the activities, which intend to bring the nation togeher with the conerted commitment to hosting. <Newly incorporated July 10, 2019>

Article 7 (Work Consignment)
① The Mayor may consign the works, in part, to a corporation or organization for the effective implementation of the activities to host the Expo pursuant to Article 5.
② For consigning the works, pursuant to Paragraph 1, any matters, not sitpulated in the ordinance, shall follow the Busan Metropolitan City Framework Ordinance for Private Consignment.

Article 8 (Request for Cooperation)
① The Mayor mat request a consultation, submission of data or other cooperation, if needed to host the Expo, to a relevant expert, institution, or organization.
② The Mayos may pay the necessary expense, such as allowance, within bthe budget for the consulting pursuant to Paragraph 1.

Article 9 (Establishment of Cooperation System)
The Mayor shall establish and operate a regular cooperation system with districts, guns and relevant institutions and organizations to implement the policies to host the Expo in an efficient manner.

Article 10 (Publicity)
① The Mayor may publicize the hosing of the Expo via the Busan Metropolitan City bulletin or the Busan Metropolitan City website.
② The Mayor shall strive to create an social environment to host the Expo by recommending the institutions or organizations to participate in the activities to host the Expo.

Article 11 (Reward)
The Mayor may reward an institution or ornigazation, which contributed greatly to hosting the Expo, pursuant to the Busan Metropolitan City Reward Ordinance.
