Global game exhibition G-STAR gets green light

This year over 1,200 booths are expected, including 908 in B2C Hall and 313 in B2B Hall. The main sponsor, Kakao Games Corp., is continuing its success with the recent mobile game "Odin: Valhalla Rising."
The B2C Pavilion, open to the general public, is known for showcasing new and popular games. In particular, Kakao Games and Krafton will operate about 100 booths. While other companies like Inven will have more than 40 booths. Other companies such as SHIFT UP Corporation, ANGELGAMES and Proxima Beta will also be present, strengthening B2C relations.
Various events are scheduled to stir more fun into the conference, which takes place in BEXCO's Convention Hall on Nov. 18 and 19. With three tracks of presentations comprised of 38 sessions, visitors can glimpse metaverse-related topics that are currently having a significant impact in the game industry.
A showcase, entitled "BIC Showcase 2021," in the B2C hall, will host Indie game demonstrations and exhibitions. Approximately 30 Indie games, carefully selected by a preliminary screening judgment, will be introduced. Gravity Co. is currently promoting diversification of its game content. To this end, they are holding a special exhibition featuring game-related goods and collaboration pro-ducts, at the Busan Museum of Art, during G-STAR. The theme of the exhibit will be revealed later.
The prestigious 2021 Korea Game Award ceremony, in conjunction with G-STAR will be held on Nov. 17. Awards will be given in 16 different fields and 13 sections. The "Most Popular Game" award goes to the title with the most votes. Players and enthusiasts can vote online from Nov. 1 to 8.
Similar to last year, "G-STAR TV," offered by Afreeca TV and Twitch TV, will host "B2C Live." They plan to deliver vivid images of the scene and footage of participating companies over five days.
