The Busan English Library and K-MOOC offer books and classes you can access remotely.

The Busan English Library, operated by City Hall, was one of many facilities to shut its doors, but it offers books to check out online no matter its accessibility. The venue's website, digibel.overdrive.com, offers 7,842 e-books and 1,320 audio books free of charge, ranging from classic literature to escapist crime thrillers. All books are marked according to difficulty, which allows readers to borrow something appropriate for any reading level.

The website is clearly arranged for users' convenience and makes it easy to find the most popular books and latest bestsellers. Children stuck at home until the new school year begins can take part in reading along with narrated e-books or simply listen to audiobooks to practice their English. Anyone with an address in Busan can join and use the library portal at library.busan.go.kr/portal.

Another option to stay mentally sharp these days is the K-MOOC, which stands for Korean Massive Open Online Course. K-MOOC is a website offering auditable higher education classes in the form of video lectures. Directed by the Ministry of Education and operated by the National Institute for Lifelong Education, the website currently provides about 760 high-quality lessons in cooperation with 116 educational institutes around the country, including Seoul, Korea and Yonsei University.

K-MOOC offers lessons on a wide variety of topics. Log on to access 200 lectures on humanities, 190 lectures on social science and 70 lectures on natural science. Those who don't speak Korean can choose from 40 English courses.

Certifications of completion are available based on a number of required hours and completed examinations and assignments. The website features an FAQ section for anyone who wishes to learn more.
