Since its foundation, the Museum of Contemporary Art Busan has strived to deviate from conventional white-cube style exhibitions, accommadate artworks of diverse forms, and become a viewer-friendly museum, focusing on its specialized area-the art of today. Located on the symbolic site of Eulsukdo [Natural Monument No. 179], the Museum aims to explore pending issues of the environment based on its special site-specificity, and to present exhibitions that can encompass extended areas of contemporary art.
