While Part I of the Postmodern Child represented a study of the modern concept of universal validity and how it became a tool for the suppression of children through discipline, Part II distances itself from notions of universal validity and, instead, imagines situations in which the rules and regulations have been dismantled. The unforeseen omissions and disparities that will inevitably arise from such a dissociation; the baggage already attached to the term postmodern; contemporary inferiority in regards to the solid narratives of the modern era; in such an unstable and contradictory space, the possibility arises that anything could happen. How to respond to whatever exists here, but has not yet been named, is entirely up to the individual. Through this freedom, which need not necessarily lead to productive outcomes, the possibilities for human existence nevertheless become unlimited. It is, of course, up to you to decide which existential form among the myriad possibilities you will adopt for yourself.
