The Eco Center at the Nakdong Estuary actively promotes the importance of the Nakdong Estuary and itself through domestic and foreign networks, establishing systems of information sharing and cooperation through interchange with private organizations.

Wetland Link International (WLI)
  • Joined: September 2008, Headquarters London wetland Center
  • Membership: More than 350 member centers in 75 countries, including 5 in South Korea
  • Major function: Sharing information on wetlands, Communication, Education and Public Awareness(CEPA), wetland education
Partnership for the East Asian-Australian Flyway(EAAF)
  • Joined: May 2009, Incheon Executive office
  • Membership: 8 sites and 29 partners in 14 countries (including governments, global organizations, NG0s)
  • Major function: sharing information on migratory birds and establishment of networks

Domestic Networks

Korea Wetland Visitor Centers Network inauguration and joining
  • Chaired by: Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Gunsan City
  • Joined: August 2010
  • Membership: 14 wetland visitor centers across the whole country (in addition to the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Land
  • Major function: Transport and Maritime Affairs CEPA activity, creation of synergies through human and material interchange among the centers
Shorebird network Korea inauguration and joining /

  • Joined: Shinan-gun
  • Membership: Ministry of Environment 8 local governments, 10 private organizations
  • Major function: Joint nationwide investigation into snipe and plover populations and habitat management
Korea Wild Animal Rescue and Management Center Conference

  • Membership: 11 wildlife Medical Centers in each of 11 cities and provinces
  • Major function: proliferation and preservation of species of wild animals, international academic interchange
