Busan hosts largest UNESCO heritage gathering ever
The 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, held in Busan, concluded successfully as the first edition hosted in Korea. A record 3,111 participants from 162 countries attended, the largest gathering in the committee's history. The sprawling Korea Pavilion at BEXCO drew more than 10,000 visitors daily, while merchandise sales topped 100 million won within five days.
