Fireworks festival tickets are now on sale

Tickets for the annual Busan International Fireworks Festival are now on sale. The city's iconic festival will take place at 7 p.m. on Nov. 9. Spectators can view the breathtaking pyrotechnics from Gwangalli Beach, Dongbaekseom Island and Igidae Park.

Paid seating is available on a wide swath of Gwangalli Beach, in front of Kent Hotel, Aqua Palace Hotel and Homers Hotel. This location ensures spectators can experience the fireworks and music spectacular in full.

There are two classes of tickets. R-tickets cost 100,000 won each and come with a chair and table. S-tickets cost 70,000 won each and come with only a chair. Tickets are available through Yes24, the official ticket distributor for the event. S-tickets can alternatively be purchased at Busan Bank branches citywide. All proceeds will be used to enhance the fireworks display, expand amenities for viewers and strengthen safety and security measures.

Originally launched in 2005 to commemorate the APEC Busan Summit, the Busan International Fireworks Festival has since drawn over 1 million spectators each year. The festival is now considered one of Korea's top three fireworks events, alongside the Seoul International Fireworks Festival and the Pohang International Fire & Light Festival.

This year's show promises even more stunning displays, utilizing Busan's iconic Gwangandaegyo Bridge as a central feature.
