Enjoy exclusive discounts during the Korea Grand Sale
During the Korea Grand Sale, international visitors enjoy steep discounts on accomodation, shopping and more.
The Visit Korea Committee will open 2024 by offering exclusive discounts and value-packed opportunities for international visitors. The Korea Grand Sale, the nation's premier shopping, culture and tourism festival, runs from Jan. 11 to Feb. 29.
During this period, international visitors can take advantage of discounts on shopping, travel, accommodation, food, and cultural activities. In addition, Korea will double the limit on on-site tax refunds for foreign tourists from 2.5 million won to 5 million won.
As part of the nationwide promotion, several attractions in Busan have special offers for visitors.
ClubD Oasis, a new premium spa and waterpark in Haeundae, is offering a 40% discount on its "All-use Pass Ticket." The pass provides access to the waterpark and spa, where guests can enjoy an infinity pool, a wave pool, water slides, dry saunas and hot springs.
Those looking for a different water experience can take advantage of yacht tour promotions. Yacht Tale is offering a 66% discount on its bestselling tour, which departs from The Bay 101 in Haeundae. Haeundae River Cruise, based in APEC Naru Park in Centum City, is offering a 40% discount on its tour around Suyeonggang River and Gwangandaegyo Bridge.
Visitors who wish to stay on land can enjoy a 40% discount on bike rentals from Bike Busan. Additionally, the Busan Museum of Movies in Jung-gu district is offering 30% off on admission fees and Brick Campus, the place for Lego lovers, in Gijang-gun is offering 20% off.
The Korea Grand Sale saves its best benefits for shoppers. Starting Jan. 1, Korea will double the limit on tax refunds for foreign tourists. The maximum refund will be raised to 1 million won per purchase and 5 million won in total while staying in the country.
In addition, some designated stores feature an "on-the-spot" tax refund system, which allows shoppers to avoid paying Value Added Tax and Individual Consumption Tax at the point-of-sale just by showing their passport.
