The Big Day is almost here. On Nov. 28, the Bureau International des Expositions will select the host city for World Expo 2030. In the lead up to the vote, Busan and Paris will be filled with people chanting “Busan is Ready.”

The Busan City government and other organizations will hold multiple rallies for citizens to express their support for the World Expo. The first will take place at 5 p.m. on Nov. 21 at Seomyeon Rotary. During the event, promotional events and performances will help citizens express their hope of hosting the Expo.

More than 1,000 citizens are slated to participate. Individuals can leave remarks and well-wishes on message boards placed by exits 10 and 13 of Seomyeon metro station.

Another rally will take place at 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 28 at Busan Citizen’s Hall in Dong-gu district. The Expo cheering event will feature live coverage of the voting site in Paris along with a variety of performances.

Meanwhile, Korea will hold promotions and campaigns in Paris to drum up local support for Busan’s bid. From Nov. 26 to 28, Parisians can learn Korean culture through wearing Hanbok and playing traditional games.

We at Daily Busan hope that travelers from all around the world will visit us in 2030. Fighting!
