Dongbaek Pass is good for your wallet and the local economy

Dongbaek Pass, the nation's first integrated public transportation rewards system, began on Aug. 1. The pass is available for use on metro lines 1 to 4, the Donghae Line, Busan-Gimhae Light Rail Transit, village buses and city buses.
To access the pass, users should have a Busan Dongbaek Jeon Debit Card with postpaid transportation and the Busan Dongbaek Jeon app. Dongbaek Jeon is a local currency that can be spent at Busan-based businesses citywide. The program, sponsored by the Busan City government, offers residents cash back incentives to support local businesses and boost the city's economy.
With Dongbaek Pass, mass transit users will receive a cash back reward when their monthly transportation expenses exceed 45,000 won. The maximum reward amount passholders can receive is 45,000 won. For example, transit users who spend 60,000 won in one month on transportation fees will receive a 15,000 won cash back reward. The reward can be used through the Dongbaek Jeon app or debit card at eligible businesses citywide.
For more information, visit the Dongbaek Jeon website, busandong100.kr, or download the app (부산 동백전). Alternatively, a Dongbaek Jeon Debit Card with postpaid transportation can be acquired at the nearest Busan Bank.
