On Sept. 1, Busan launched a pilot transportation service in Gijang-gun county. TABARA Demand-Response Transportation (DRT) will more quickly and efficiently get people to popular tourist attractions like Lotte World Adventure and Skyline Luge.

The service can be accessed via the TABARA app, available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Users within Gijang-gun use the app to call a shuttle service, which will pick up customers at one of 15 stops in the area and take them to the stop near their desired destination.

TABARA gives users the convenience of using a taxi while paying a standard bus fare.

The 15 stops include Osiria Station, Gijang Station, Osiria Tourism Complex, Orangdae Park and Gongsu Village.

A new TABARA app for foreign tourists will be available at the end of September, which will provide access to the shuttle service as well as tourist and festival information. The city will also launch new tour packages with the Visit Busan Pass, providing significant discounts on local tourist attractions and public transportation.
