Busan announces new symbol and slogan
In 2023, Busan citizens selected a new city symbol and slogan. The city's new emblem utilizes the English letters B and S as a motif and uses colors and angles to create Korea's first 3D city symbol. The gradation of light to dark colors expresses Busan's desire to be a city of diversity and inclusiveness where all are welcome.
The city's new slogan, "Busan is Good," is used in Korean and English. The versatile phrase will be used in combination with other words - "Busan is good to live," "Busan is good to visit," "Busan is good for Expos" - to enhance the city's image. Nearly 100,000 citizens participated in selecting the city's new branding.
