Busan seeks international residents for new program
source: BGCF
Busan City and the Busan Global City Foundation are recruiting participants for the first cohort of the Busan International Residents Connector program, which engages international residents to improve local policies.
This newly launched initiative replaces the previous Busan Foreign Residents Representative Council. The revamped program offers a more practical platform for international residents to share their experiences, voice concerns, and suggest policy improvements, contributing to a more inclusive and livable city.
Selected participants, referred to as “Connectors,” will create content tailored to international communities in various districts. The content will highlight local attractions and restaurants and provide valuable tips for living in the city. Their work will be featured as lifestyle and tourism content across Busan’s social media and online platforms, including the Life in Busan website, an information portal for international residents.
Connectors will be compensated for their work, earn volunteer hours and receive performance-based extra benefits.
Any international resident aged 18 or older who has lived in Korea for over 1 year or in Busan for more than 90 days is eligible to join the project. Applications will be accepted until April 23 through the BGCF’s website linked below. Following documentation screening, selected candidates will be invited for in-person interviews, with the final result announced on May 2.
※ Recruitment for the Busan International Residents Connector program until April 23.
