Own a restaurant? Access more customers with multilingual menus
Busan is offering menu translation services to local restaurants. Restaurants that sign up will receive an A4 paper-sized booklet or a tabletop acrylic plate with a QR code for international diners to access foreign-language menus. The service supports seven languages: English, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Arabic and Russian. The service will also translate digital menus by offering text files of translated items.
Restaurant proprietors can apply for menu translation until December. The program can accommodate 2,000 restaurants; 396 have already signed up.
To apply, complete the Google Form below and prepare the necessary documents. Restaurant owners can also apply in person by visiting the Environmental Hygiene department in their local district or country office, the Korean Foodservice Industry Association Busan Branch, or the Korea Convenient Restaurant Association Busan Branch.
The service is a win-win for businesses and customers. Restaurants can expand their customer base and take advantage of Busan’s tourism boom, while international diners can comfortably and confidently enjoy the city’s vibrant dining scene.
