source: visit busan
October in Busan is known as “Festival Month” due to the various events happening citywide. Between the 17 international events under the umbrella of Festival Shiwol and 14 festivals celebrating local communities, residents and visitors will have things to see, do and eat all month long.
If you are in town to join all the fun, why not participate in the 2024 Visit Busan Travel Photo Contest? The Busan Tourism Organization invites people to capture moments under the theme “How to enjoy Festival Shiwol and Busan’s other festivals.” Submissions are open until Nov. 10.
The contest is open to any foreigner or Korean currently residing in Korea. Photos taken by digital cameras and mobile phones are separated into different categories, and participants may submit entries to both. To enter, upload your festival-themed pictures to your profile on social media platforms like Instagram or YouTube and tag them with #부산여행, #비짓부산, and #사진콘테스트. Please note that your profile must be open to the public.
Furthermore, participants must complete an application via Google Forms. Additional points will be awarded for pictures taken during events associated with Festival Shiwol.
The winning photos will be announced on Nov. 20. Prizes include:
- Grand Prize: 1 million won in cash
- Category Winners: 500,000 won in cash each to the winners of digital camera photography and mobile phone photography
- Third Place: 100,000 won department store gift certificates to three people
