Gamers wanted for the 2024 Busan-ASEAN E-Sports Global Exchange Match

Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Global City Foundation will host the 2024 Busan-ASEAN E-Sports Global Exchange Match on Nov. 29 at the Busan e-Sports Arena. The event aims to foster cultural exchange and promote e-sports culture among the youth of Busan and 10 ASEAN countries.

Recruitment is open until Oct. 25. Eligible participants include amateur gamers aged 15 to 35 from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam.

Teams must consist of four members and may comprise people from different nations. Competitors will face off in Battlegrounds Mobile, a team-based battle royale game.

A maximum of 40 teams (160 players) will be invited to the event. The final list of competitors will be announced on Nov. 4, and all participants must attend an orientation on Nov. 8.

All finalists will receive a complimentary coffee voucher. The top team will be awarded 1 million won, while second and third-place teams will receive 500,000 won and 300,000 won, respectively.
